Yea, but does Marley always agree when you put underwear on her head? I’ve seen the photos, and I think you’re putting words in the dog’s mouth!
Hello Ron—and greetings from Canada! You probably don’t remember me, but I was a former student of yours an eon ago in Addis Ababa where I was flayed quite spectacularly in my opinion by the demands of an autocratic puberty. It did not help either that I actually had a crush on you at one point during that tenth grade; I suspect I wasn’t the only one. Anyhow. I guess you’re right, the world probably doesn’t need another blog, but there are lots of things the world doesn’t need more of, like for instance people, and yet—and yet—here we all are, almost seven billion of us, most of us rooted in our egocentric territories, but still entitled nonetheless to breathe the same air, to bear witness to the passage of time. I for one am glad I stumbled upon your online diary; it has given me one of the full-circle moments of my own adulthood. Keep up the postings out there in Norway. Take care, Francis.
Hey Ron,
I was a student in the Education Studies Program at Guilford with my wife Eleanor.
I just wanted to say, “Hello.”
All the best to you and your family.
Jack
Hey Professor,
My man Jimmy says you’ve been confused. It’s all an act, part of the mockumentary. Even Letterman knews that, you dweeb.
All the best to You and Your Family
Hi, what a strange evening. I stumbled across your blog and have spent quite some time here, reading both old and new posts. I admire your desire and willingness to share and to write. I had a nice time here tonight and especially (“foreigner” that I am!) enjoyed and appreciated your comments on the American “Greatest Country” phenomenon
And then when I started to feel “done” for the evening and was looking for an appropriate place to leave a little message and ended up right here, imagine my surprize when I saw Francis-X’s comment! What a small world we live in these days, despite (or because of?) our vast numbers.
I’m glad I found you here and wanted to let you know that you and Lynn pop up in my memories and thoughts now and then.
All the best to bith of you,
